Conclusion The combination of a touching story and incredible technology allowed Gladiator  to become the iconic movie it is today. Director Ridley Scott chose an excellent cast that was able to deliver a strong performance. Gladiator will always be known for being successful in its attempt bring the Roman and Greek epic movie genre back to the big screen. The CGI may not be what audiences are used too today, but it still holds up fairly well in comparison to the movies today that contain way more digital effects. The well written action drama would still be received well if it were released this year. Gladiator is a must see for anyone with an appreciation for filmmaking or simply seeking a new adventure.
